Living Chicago

Last summer has changed me in a way I couldn’t have imagined. I lived an intercultural experience that I’ll never forget. The people I met in EF Chicago filled a small but also huge piece of my heart and I learned much more than a language.

If you ask me if I would repeat I say: OF COURSE! And I’m certain I will.

Such thoughts make me miss Chicago a lot so I leave you with the second video:

Never think twice and go for it!

Fireworks

On Saturday there was a party at I-house (International House, a residence in Unversity of Chicago Campus) but we had to take a Metra at 5am to come back. I preferred to go to Navy Pier, because there were fireworks and we wanted to see it.

I don’t regret having gone there. It was fantastic! It lasted several minutes and the most impressive thing is that the music matched the performance, for instance, when the lirics of the song said “love” there was a heart-shaped firework.

(I took hundreds of photos with the speed mode)

What is more, we know some Mexican-American guys who told us about a couple of interesting places or things to do.

As you can see in the picture I got a fortune cookie. OMG! I don’t know where it is! 😦 I’ll be unlucky now, hahah.

It was fun because that boys have the tradition to end the sentence in the cookie with “at the bed” (en la cama). I remember quite well, it was something like “your emotions will be sensitive and strong (at the bed)”.

Oh! And it was a great night because we found another supermarket! Yeey! It’s called Dominick’s and it’s at the same distance than the other one but the opposite way (behind Marylin’s sculpture).
